Calling all Black business owners! We are helping spread the word about the launch of the MelaninPreneurs™ Black-Owned Small Business Pitch Competition. If you are a Black-owned business located in the United States and gross less than $2M annually, you may qualify.
They have partnered with the DC Fashion Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2007, supporting the business community through educational programs, workforce training initiatives, and networking and mentoring opportunities.
Businesses will be judged and selected based on their business plan, financial need, product/service offerings, packaging, current online ratings, website design, years-in-business, and the intended use of the funding.
Combined with business development assistance, this unique opportunity will support and promote Black business growth to further establish Black-owned businesses in the Black community. Awards will range up to $5,000 per awardee and are for one-year funding cycles, beginning January 1, 2022.

Each month we will email you about new and current volunteer opportunities and their requirements.
We ask all volunteers to post at least twice a month, but we also respect your time and content calendar. Although we want as many Black-owned business owners to know about this great opportunity, we also want you to spread the word organically. We ask that you post when you feel it’s the ideal time, as long as it falls within the timeline given for each campaign.
We usually ask that you post twice a month to your social media accounts. Depending on how many accounts you would like to post to, it should take less than 15-minutes of your time.
If you are interested in donating your time and helping us in other ways, including admin support, please contact us.
You may promote to your social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), email list, newsletters, blog, etc.
